  • By CTO Admin

When visiting the town of Kununurra, don't miss out on Hidden Valley. Another great spot to see the unique rock formations of the Kimberley region. Being very close to the Kununurra township, Hidden Valley is a mini version of the famous Bungle Bungle Ranges. With easy access and a much shorter walking trails, this is favorable for sight seeing if you aren't taking on the trip to the isolated Bungles. The "bee hive" rock formations are impressive with signed walking tracks winding throughout the park area. The sandstone sedimentary rock is remenents of a 300 million year old sea bed worn away over time to form the familiar, ochre coloured, rugged domes. Keep a keen eye out for the local reptiles, wallabies and bird life. Trails are class 2, 3 and 4 with some wheelchair friendly boardwalks as well. As with all top end walks take along water and cover up with a wide brim hat. Best time to visit is between April to October although the park is open year round.
